I met Kira at the Carte Blanche Sydney Trunk Show. It's such an exciting event, and I am always so impatient to discover I will meet and who will find their dream dress from the gorgeous French designers we carry at Carte Blanche Bride.
Like many of the clients I meet, Kira had discovered Laure de Sagazan during the research phase of her wedding dress search. It did not take her long to track down Carte Blanche Bride as the exclusive representative of the Laure de Sagazan brand. Kira shares below what drew her to the iconic VERLAINE design and why she chose this piece above all the other dreamy looks from the designer.
Following a delay due to COVID, the wedding plans were tweaked slightly to accommodate the altered world we find ourselves in today. However, Kira and her partner Lucas were so proud to have been able to celebrate their wedding with a true representation of who they are as a couple and what was important to them. The ceremony was at the beautifully historical VAUCLUSE HOUSE followed by a big Italian feast in the Sydney CBD.
"My love affair with Laure de Sagazan started with a screenshot of a jumpsuit she previously designed. Having no idea who the designer was I hunted her down via my highly skilled online shopping skills and a whole lot of luck! The minute I found the Carte Blanche Bride website, I knew she was the designer for me.
I had always been able to articulate what I didn't want in a wedding dress but could never quite pinpoint what I did want. Everything that Laure de Sagazan created was what I did want.
Finding Verlaine was as effortless as wearing her. The minute I put her on I felt like myself. Simple and elegant but yet modern and chic, I loved everything about her from the unique french lace to the tiny pearl buttons. I wanted a dress that emulated a timeless bride but that still allowed me to eat pizza and pasta for dinner and dance the night away. Verlaine was my gal! "
